Eclipse Lens Caps
A simple, parametric eclipse filter design which interfaces with standard lens filter threads and can be quickly removed and replaced. The design consists of a pair of rings which snap together, sandwiching a circle of eclipse filter film between them. One half includes flexures with sections of lens filter thread on them, allowing it to be clicked into place over a lens and engage into the threads which are standard on most lenses. The other half has corresponding threads, allowing lens caps or additional filters to be installed atop it.
